Bluma Acocello

Bluma holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts and Art History from the George Washington University. She holds teaching certificates in General Education K-8th grade and Art K-12th grade. Bluma taught early childhood for many years, including being an Early Childood Education Director. She discovered Waldorf education through a Farm and Forest Kindergarten  workshop. Her love of nature and working to create beauty in the world led her to the Applied Arts Handwork Teacher training at the Fibercraft Studio, where she is currently completing the course of studies. Bluma has utilized the therapeutic qualities of handwork and gardening in many different educational facets and has taught neuro-diverse children of all ages for the last 5 years at The Otto Specht School in Spring Valley NY. Bluma now lives in Asheville with her son Jack, who is part of SOLA’s 6/7th grade class.
